*Due to rave reviews, the limited edition Valentine Bar is being brought back for the spring and summer seasons, and is now the Bloom Bar! EXCITING!*

Back in December 2021, this bar blossomed in my brain.

I am a very methodical maker, and rarely give in to whims in the studio. But once this idea budded and bloomed, I had to act on it.

Scented with soft lavender, juicy citrus and sultry-sweet ylang ylang, there's just one batch of this soap. And it smells AMAZING. Simultaneously uplifting and deep, fresh and floral, the lavender, citrus, and ylang ylang swirl together in an intoxicating aroma that's primed to please.

The addition of clay helps the bars last longer and gives the lather a lovely slip. The clay is a finely milled, cosmetic-grade pink clay from Brazil. It is fairly traded and sourced through a small distributer with close ties to Brazil and the villages from whence it comes.

The soap itself is made with my signature soap recipe, full of moisture-rich extra virgin olive oil and cleansing sustainably-sourced coconut oil. Firm and long-lasting, these bars create a delightfully bubbly lather.

INGREDIENTS:  A gentle handcrafted soap, it is made with organic extra virgin olive oil, organic and sustainably sourced coconut oil, sodium hydroxide*, lavender essential oil, organic litsea cubeba essential oil, and ylang ylang essential oil. Each bar is hand cut to approximately 3.5 ounces (100g).

**These bars will ship with a simple, handwritten label.

*sodium hydroxide (lye), is the magic that turns oils into soap. Through a process called saponification, the lye and oils mix to form an entirely new substance - soap! None of the lye is left after the saponification process is finished; the lye and oil molecules have broken each other apart and reformed into soap and glycerin, a soothing, natural humectant. Additionally, I add more oil than is needed for my recipe (called superfatting) to create a bar that is gentle and hydrating.
